Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Lembrei is a spaced repetition service operated by Alexander Egorov, sole trader (trabalhador independente), Lisbon, Portugal, tax number (NIF) 328339776. In these terms "we" and "us" mean the operator. You can reach us at alexander@lembrei.org.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• Give a working email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• One person, one account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to yours.

3. Beta and price

Lembrei is in beta and is free. Features can change, appear or disappear, and there can be errors and interruptions. If we introduce paid plans, we will announce them in advance and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.

4. Your content

• The boxes, cards and collections you create remain yours.
• You give us permission to store, process and display that content as far as needed to run the service for you.
• When you publish a collection to the catalogue, you allow other users to view it, copy it into their boxes and learn from it. You can unpublish it; copies already made by others stay with them.
• You must have the right to use everything you add, and it must not break the law or these terms.

5. AI features

Cards can be generated from your prompts or your voice by an AI model. Generated cards can contain mistakes: check them before you rely on them. Do not put confidential information or other people's personal data into prompts.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• publish content that is illegal, hateful, harassing or that infringes someone else's rights;
• try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or to disrupt the service;
• use scripts or bots to load the service or the AI features beyond normal personal use;
• resell the service or copy it.

We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend or close the account behind it.

7. Our rights

The Lembrei name, design, software and the collections we publish ourselves belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you the right to use the service, not ownership of it.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Lembrei at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to alexander@lembrei.org. We can close an account that breaks these terms, and we can discontinue the service; in that case we will give reasonable notice so that you can keep your cards.

9. No warranty and limits of liability

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that using it will lead to a particular learning result. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer in the country where you live.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and can bring a claim in its courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and we tell you about significant changes in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Lembrei after that, you accept the new terms.
